Leadership Coaching

What is Leadership Coaching?

Leadership coaching is a process in which I start working with clients to help them develop the skills and knowledge needed to be effective leaders. This includes communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic thinking. I also help executives as a leader explore their own values and goals, and how they align with the organization’s mission and vision.

In order to assist my clients in better understanding themselves and their leadership styles, I use my expertise in coaching, NLP, and counseling. Furthermore, I help my clients identify areas for improvement, set goals, and develop action plans.

In addition to providing support and guidance, I help my clients implement the changes they want.

In a recent instance, I was asked to help a manager of a large team of 100 improve his leadership skills. I started by assessing the executive’s current leadership skills and identifying areas for improvement. Next, I worked with the executive to set specific goals, such as improving team morale, increasing cross-departmental communication, and successfully leading a major project.

I provided the executive with tools and strategies for effective leadership, such as active listening, effective communication, and conflict resolution. The executive also practiced these skills through role-playing and other interactive exercises.

As the executive works to achieve his goals, I provided feedback and support to help him stay on track while also working with him to help identify any limiting beliefs or patterns of behaviors that may be holding him back and help him overcome them.

Finally, we worked together to establish a plan for maintaining the progress after the coaching engagement ended, such as scheduling regular check-ins and creating an action plan for continued development.

Frequently Asked Questions

EXECUTIVE & CAREER COACHING

Executive coaches assist leaders and managers in achieving their goals, improving their skills, and navigating challenges in the workplace. Typically, executive coaching focuses on leadership, management, communication, and personal development.

Unlike a therapist, an executive coach focuses on helping clients achieve specific goals and improve their performance at work. Therapy, however, addresses mental health and emotional issues. Moreover, it is essential to note that an executive coach works with the client to develop skills and abilities, unlike a consultant who offers advice.

While this varies depending on the client’s current situation, common issues I helped executives with were:

  • improving leadership skills
  • building and managing high-performing teams
  • navigating change and transition in their careers
  • enhancing their communication and presentation skills
  • clarifying their work values or life priorities.

I work with the executive to identify specific goals and create a plan to achieve them. Active listening, questioning, feedback, and role-playing are a few of the techniques that I use to help executives gain new insights and develop new skills. I will also provide support and accountability to help the executive stay on track.

This can be achieved through different methods; among other things, I use feedback, assessments, and exercises to help the executive identify areas for improvement and develop new skills. I also use real-life scenarios and case studies to help the executive practice their leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment.

I use a variety of techniques to help an executive build and manage high-performing teams. This may include training on effective communication, conflict resolution, and team-building exercises. I also work with the executive to establish clear goals, expectations, and roles for team members and provide feedback and guidance on managing and motivating the team effectively.

I have helped many executives navigate change and transition by providing support and guidance through the process. This included helping identify their strengths and skills, clarifying priorities and values, identifying new opportunities, and creating a plan for moving forward. Together we develop strategies for dealing with stress and uncertainty and building a support network.

To determine the right coaching approach, I will consider the client’s goals, personality, and learning style. In our first conversation I  will use assessment tools and questions to gain a better understanding of the client’s needs and preferences.

My coaching fees are based on a variety of factors, including the specific coaching services provided, the client’s needs, and my level of experience and qualifications. As a coach becomes more experienced, the coaching becomes more efficient and fewer sessions are required. I will discuss my fees with potential clients during an initial consultation and provide a detailed breakdown of the cost of services.

The length of a coaching engagement varies depending on the client’s goals and needs. Some clients may work with me for a few months, while others may continue working with me for a year or more.

I cannot guarantee specific results as coaching is a co-creative process, but I do guarantee that I will give my best effort to help clients achieve their goals and to provide a high-quality service. If clients are not satisfied with the coaching results, we will work together to address any concerns and maybe change the focus or process of the program.
